Infertility is NOT a Diagnosis. It is a symptom. (most of the time)

The Functional + Lifestyle Medicine Approach to Supportive Fertility

Far too often, men and women are misdiagnosed with infertility when (in truth), all that is needed is a comprehensive look at unearthed dysfunction in the body and support for proper restoration.  Infertility is not a diagnosis – it is a symptom.

Unfortunately, infertility concerns are quite common.  Fifteen to twenty-five percent of couples, aged between 30-45 years, will struggle with this problem.  In 35% couples, a combination of male and female factors are together identified; with only 8% of cases are related to male infertility alone.

Families spend thousands of dollars on expensive and ineffective treatments, struggling emotionally and physically while trying to grow their family.  More often than not, fertility concerns are either functional (obstructive azoospermia, insufficient sperm count, amenorrhea, CAVD, hypospadias, tubal occlusion, etc.), hormonal, thyroid related, nutritional deficiency, genetic (particularly, with MTHFR variants, 60-70% of the population has this), and/or a toxicity problem.  A functional +lifestyle medicine approach includes quality history taking, comprehensive labs, nutritional + lifestyle appraisal, hormonal + endocrine support, detoxification, and nutrient balancing – which can include dietary modifications, IV, IM, topical and oral therapies.

These principles, when applied with intention and practiced hands, can move mountains for families who are trying to conceive.  It would be our honor to serve you in this journey!
